Open vs Enclosed Offset Smokers

Bare Steel or Built-In Storage. Same Pit Underneath.

Same pit. More cabinet.

Open

Bare Steel, Full Access

Open style keeps the chassis bare, the way most pitmasters run their stick burner. The build is lighter, the price is lower, and you have access to the chamber from every side. Every offset smoker in the Outlaw lineup is offered open, from the Patio to the BFO.

  • Lighter: easier to roll and load
  • Access: reach the chamber from every side
  • Value: the lower cost style
  • Offered on every model we make

Enclosed

Storage Built In

An enclosed build wraps the chassis in steel cabinetry: covered storage for wood, tools, and supplies, with doors that keep weather out and your gear where you left it. It gives your offset smoker a cleaner look at catered events and competitions. Underneath, it is the same pit, the same firebox, and the same 7 gauge steel.

  • Enclosed: covered storage, cleaner look at events, weather protection for gear
  • Open: lighter, easier access all around, lower cost
  • Same pit, same firebox, same steel either way

Super reactive to a small adjustment... makes for a super clean fire.
